Who is Paul?
Paul Middel is a personal lines agent at Compass Insurance Agency. Since October of 2013, Paul has been taking care of his clients by finding them a policy that suits their needs based on factors like family, lifestyle, and budget. While his dedication to his customers is focused on saving green with an excellent policy, Paul is all about hitting the putting green after hours. As a devoted golfer, Paul spends his Monday nights with his favorite Cobra golf clubs playing in the Sunnybrook Country Club Golf league!
For the Love of Golf
Paul remembers grabbing one of his dad’s golf clubs one uneventful day. He was just about 10 years old and headed to the local soccer field to hit a few golf balls, this soon became a regular routine for Paul. He grew to love the sport and began golfing on courses at the age of 14 and eventually became a Demo Specialist for Puma/Cobra for the 2011 and 2012 golf seasons. During these demos he was able to show brand new clubs and talk to other golfers about how Puma’s Cobra clubs help them improve their game. Similar to his experience in selling insurance, Paul is always looking out for quality at the best price.
Golfing has provided Paul with a relaxing outlet that he can engage in with friends or head to the course alone to improve his score. One of the qualities Paul enjoys most about golf is being able to go out and improve his golf game one swing at a time. While he can accomplish 
this on any course his absolute favorite course is The Raven at Three Peaks. This is a breathtaking course located in Silverthorne, CO with a mountainous view at every hole. He’s not biased to the courses Michigan has to offer though. Paul enjoys the challenge of The Mines, a “hidden gem” of a course here in Grand Rapids. One day he hopes to teach his beautiful wife the sport, but for now his two year old son, Nolan, has begun to follow in his footsteps.

One of Paul’s favorite characteristics of golf is that the sport can be played with other people or as a solo competition to beat your own score. With his personal best drive at 446 yards (in the high altitude of the Colorado mountains) and a competitive golf score of 1 under Par, he knows how to continue developing his swing for improvement.
