For most, that may be the case, and those people would be comfortable to just settle with their foot in the door. That is not the story when it comes to Jack Hoedeman.
Since starting as a sales agent in 1999, Jack has been involved in one way or another with insurance. However, it wasn’t until he was attending Davenport University that his career really started to bloom. While at school, Jack filled his schedule with studies and work as he was a full-time employee and student at the same time. By using his time wisely and honing his skills along with networking while attending the university, he was able to start his own company, Compass Insurance Agency, before eventually graduating in 2012 with a BBA in Business Management. With insurance running through his veins, he knew what he wanted to do early on and did not waste his time doing it.
As CEO of his now booming insurance company, he now has 18 full-time employees. With such a vast area of expertise ranging from car and home insurance to life and renters, Compass Insurance Agency can handle just about any issue regarding one’s insurance. Within only four years, Jack had evolved from a student looking up to professors and teachers for help and tips to now being the one looked to for mentoring and guidance by his own sales agents and employees. Though his family is filled with insurance specialists, he is the first to tell you that things do not fall into your lap. Besides his studies, he credits his relationships as being a deciding factor in his success as an owner of an insurance company.
