How We Negotiate Renewals

Compass Insurance Agency begins the renewal process 60 days before a policy is up. During that time we review the needs of our clients and review and compare the policies and rates of our providers. Three contact attempts are made to each renewal via a blend of mail, email and a telephone call. This enables Compass Insurance Agency to experience above-average retention of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year renewals of 90%.

Employee Agent Manager (EAM)

Leads and implements a team of EAs selling P&C insurance. Assists in sales of P&C insurance to new and existing customers using agency approved sales process and agency underwriting guidelines. Tasks would include recruit, hire, train, and mentor and monitor a team of EAs ensuring that agency standards and policies are followed and implemented.

Employee Agent (EA)

Sales of P&C insurance to new and existing customers using agency approved sales process and agency underwriting guidelines. Tasks would include quoting, completion and processing of new business applications, and collection of a down payment for policies.

Customer Advocate (CA)

Service of new and existing customers using agency approved service process and underwriting guidelines. Tasks would include; endorsements, verification, and collection of underwriting documents, collection of signed new business applications/trailing documents, maintenance of lien-holder and mortgagee on policies, policy re-writes when needed. Maintenance of company downloads of new and existing clients into AMS360.

Receptionist

Support the agency by routing agency correspondence to the proper locations. Tasks would include; incoming/outgoing mail, incoming phones, incoming calls/faxes, send out new/renew thank you cards and emails. Support CA by; creating proofs of insurance, creating commercial binders, assist in the collection of underwriting documents, change lien-holder/mortgagee information, scan documents into AMS360, and tracking office supplies.

Accounting

Support the agency by maintaining GAAP accounting standards within the agency. Tasks would include reviewing and posting of daily deposit, agency bill client invoicing, point of contact for customer billing questions, end of month agency and trust bank statement reconciliations, oversight of internal controls to ensure proper cash management, coordination with CPA for taxes. Maintenance of company commission downloads into AMS360.
